Porto

BYE

My erasmus experience is a success. I will miss all the friends I met here even if I have already planned to come back in Poto in July and go in Turkey in August to visit my best friend Sevim.

I love you guys. I will never forget you and all the moments we had together. thanks of you I will keep the best memories of my life!

Conclusion

Porto is really wonderful. There are a lot of gardens and places where people can sit with a glass and comtemplate the view. I love Portugal because it's really mollifying.

In addition, I'm happy to note that Portugueses are always smiling. They are very kind and welcoming. I think people in Portugal are more relaxed and I like this way of life! It would have been great if I could have stayed in this country for longer time.

Car wash !

In Belgium, I'm used to have a car to go everywhere. So it was a big change for me when I arrived in Erasmus. But I have a really kind father who came to visit me with my car and went back in Belgium by plane. That's why Florian, Sevim, Merve and I had the chance to go in all the places we went.

Sometimes, it needed to be cleaned and we thought it was more funny to do it by ourselves. so, we did the carwash :-D Even if it's a common thing, we had so much fun that I will remember that afternoon forever...

Palacio de Cristal

This spot in the center of Porto is splendid. When i want to breathe fresh air I go there and each time it's a pleasure to sit or walk and admire the landscape. It's the most peaceful place I found in Porto even if i'm sure I dindn't visit the half of good places here...
All the gardens are beautiful. When I arrived in september there were so many different kinds of flower, their colours were magnificent. If i had to choose a garden, I don't know which one It would be! when the sun is shining, it's a real paradise...

Christmas

I went back in Belgium for 15 days to be with my family for Christmas and the new year. It was enjoyable to be in my country for a few days even if those days were really cold. I was accustomed to the temperature of Portugal and when I got off the plane, I felt the immense difference!

To celebrate the new year, I invited friends at home to have a big dinner together. I was glad to see them again after this long time. In fact, I thought I didn't miss them so much but once I was with them I realised nothing had changed and they still counted for me.
As I wanted to meet all of them before comming back here, after our delicious dinner i went to a party to meet the friends I hadn't already met to wish them a happy new year and have fun all the night. The next day was really difficult because i had to take my plane!

Lady gaga concert

Sevim and I wanted to see Lady gaga in concert long time ago and we did it! First, we learned that "the monster ball tour was played in Madrid. So we tought it was good to visit this famous city but the concert was already sold out :-( Then, we decided to check if she had already sung in Portugal. We were really lucky: it was the last one in Lisbon
At the beginning, I wanted to attend this concert because of the show and the atmosphere. of course I love her songs but I just knew the most famous of them. During the concert, I was pleased and really surprised. Indeed, she was singing really great, she had an unbelievable voice

Trip in Lisbon

Friends and I wanted to go to Lisbon. We never went there before and didn't want to go back home without having seen the capital of this wonderful country. We knew someone who is in erasmus there, so he invited us in his flat and we spend the weekend in this city. I think it's always good to know someone who already have the experience with the place sothat we can see all the most interesting things in a short period of time.

I LOVE party

The I love party was one of all the parties that I really enjoyed. It took place in "Wood house" near the subway station Combatentes. I was invited there because of friends who know the erasmus poeple who live in this big house. I loved especially this party because there was a special concept: girls had to have a white t-shirt and write on it "I love..." and boys had to create the same on a black t-shirt.

On the left "Merve" who is studying mathematics and on the right "Sevim" who is studying engineer. They are my two best friends here. They come from Turkey. Thank of them i was at this amazing party. I met a lot of people from others faculties. So i could learn a lot of interesting things about their experience, places i should visit,... Sometimes, people just stays with the friends they made at the beginning and i think it's a shame because there are so many nice people to meet... :-)

Grafiti's party

The best ESN party I have ever been. It was a really good idea to give every Erasmus student a t-shirt to make it signed from the others. It's a good because it permits students to meet everyone. People i didn't know came and started to talk with me, signated my t-shirt, even the most timid :-) It was pretty cool and well thought!

City trip in Jaen

I went to Jaen in Spain to see my friend Anne-Julie.She is a student from my school in Belgium. I went with Florian and my Turkish friend , Merve and Sevim. I had a great time there, good atmosphere, nice city, we tasted really good typical wine.Anne-julie showed us all the beautiful places to be there, we visited the castel and the cathedral which were really splendid. The evening we had a dinner together, we ate a lot of tapas. I think the food is really delicious an varied in Spain. After we had the chance to meet all of her erasmus friends. So, we could improve a little bit our Spanish but it wasn't easy. I realised i forgot everythings I learned at school last year!

My room

I live in a flat with 3 others persons ( one Spanish and two Finnish ). My flat is near my school and there is a car park in front of my building for my car.

Aveiro

This week-end was a good one for me. my sister arrived at the airport of porto on Friday, I picked her up at 23.30 en then I introduce her to Florian, Sevim and Merve who were waitting for us to go to Aveiro to join others friends who were there. In fact, The ESN gave us the opportunity to have a party and to visit this touristic city.

Even if i could stay and live here for the rest of my life, I was very happy to see my sister and share my erasmus way of life with her for a week-end. I enjoyed Aveiro, it's the most beautiful city I have seen in Portugal. Now I know why it is often called "The Portuguese Venice".

Shopping

My favorite place where I like to spend my time is the mall Dolce Vita. It faces the Estadio do Dragao. So it's easy to go with the metro. When I arrived here, I was surprised because all the shopping malls are opened till 24.00. In Belgium, everythings are closed at 18.00. I think it's better like this because people have time to go after their work day. It's a good way to make us buy more because it's less crowded, we don't need to stress because of the time. Portuguese people are maybe better than Belgian for business :-) As I'm a shopping addict, I also noticed that prices are really cheapest than in my country. So, I have even more fun to go shopping. The problem is how am I going to succeed bringing all that i bought at home!!!

My new school

ISCAP is my school in Porto. The school is new and modern. It's bigger than mine in Belgium. The teaching is also different. I have a lot of team work to do in every lectures, the notes are not printed, we use the online notes and learn on Paol. I think the teachers here are very human and take care aubout their students...
